Default Chocolate bear
Just got back from Manitoba. We had a blast. The group shot four bears 3 color phase and 1 black and one black hit in the shoulder and he got away. The weather was good a little windy but not to bad. I shot a small chocolate boar with a blaze. I it all on film. I passed the bear the first time he came in even though I really wanted a color phase but when he went to leave with some meat I saw the blaze and decided to shoot him if he came back and a 1/2 hour later he came back and the rest is history. I will try to get pictures posted later.

Tim yes I did go with Big grass they run a very good camp, they also no there bears well. It was slow the bears were just nibbling for the most part. Should be really good in 2 weeks, if you have any questions give me a pm. Sorry I haven't got the pics posted trying to catch up at work, will get them soon.

Congrats. Sounds like a hunt with some good action. Love to see the pics please.
What outfitter did you use there? Out 1-to-10 how did you rate the outfitter and why if you don't mind me asking?

Default Manitoba Bears
Hello all,
I'm new to this site but not to bear hunting. Congrats on you bear hunt as I know this time of year the bears are slow in Manitoba as I have been hunting and guiding here since 1989. I'm way up in Northern Manitoba and guide out of Thompson I will try and post some pic's of bears I have on trail cam's.

We still have snow and ice on the lakes but next week it will warm up and they should start moving about.
I have lots of great tips that I have gathered from other outfitters and hunters if any one is interested let me know.

Any way good luck all on your hunts !

Bow Drawn I would rate them pretty high I don't think anyone is a ten there is always room for improvement. They are hard working outfitters and guides. They also are straight shooters they aren't going to lie to you.
