Eders boys ,looks like were are down for the count

I cant get the site to even come up anymore. I guess its down for a while.

On a side note ,I have been trying to kill Toms with the bow . Been out three times and so far nothing in range .The seem to be "hened up" right now. Im hoping the hens will go to nest soon so I can get a lonley Tom to come in. Im am hearing them and seeing them so they are there.

Hey Landon,

If the toms are henned up, you may be able to work this to your advantage by trying to attract the boss hen to your setup.

If you listen carefully you will usually hear the old girl calling softly to her group as she directs them to wherever she wants them to go.

If possible, try to duplicate whatever sound she is making and when she begins a series of yelps, cut her off before she finishes.

If you are successful in winning this verbal battle, the boss hen will begin to respond to your calls and should start to approach your setup to see what the new intruder to her domain looks like.

And guess who will be following right behind her?

Yup, you got it..............the big dummy!

Don't give up on them yet....I am puzzled by the lack of communication but I am used to it from work.

djmbow that sounds like great advice. I could hear her yelping from time to time .I did yelp back so I guess without knowing I was trying to do the right thing. I also think I heard a jake yelping (real deep and would cut off the goobler gobbling with his deep yelp). Spring turkey hunting is so cool .

I have to travel for work this week and stay through the weekend .We are driving up to Berlin PA. I wonder if there is any woods near there I can yelp in....
