I was shooting in one of those tunnels with the video screen at the end and blunts on the arrows years ago. Right before I let go the arrow fell off the string. The cable slide hit the screen and I found out later I cracked both limbs on my mountaineer. They replaced them for free .They had pretty good cutomer service,surprised when they went under.

Anyway thats when I learned my nocks must snap on the string.

I have done accidentally a few times - I have also had 3 or 4 bows explode on me, this was back in the 80's though when the cables were metal with tear drops on the end

I had a set of strings snap at full draw a few weeks ago , had a burr in my new slider and it rubbed my Y Cable threw in just a few shots , that sounded like a bomb going off .
