SOB!!! just got a call from the outfitter. global warming has moved the hunt back 2 weeks. said they still have 3-6 feet of snow at the place where they have the base camp. now the hunt will start the 18th. means I'll have to work an extra 2 weeks.

ya the snow has been unreal,I had my baits out this time last year and there is no way I can even get out to set up.I probably would be able to get out now till the may 8th weekend to start baiting

TLC sorry to hear about that. Talk to the outfitter last week snow was pretty well gone but next weeks weather looks cold. Anybody know if the bears are out in southern Manitoba.

Big T i talked to my taxi and he had said that the bears are out in his area he's going on saturday, Do you know which game hunting area you will be hunting in 22,23,23A,24 some of these areas do have a fair bit of snow yet but things can change in a big hurry with a little heat

The area is 24 i deer hunt up there and it looks pretty good for bear as well i have come across a few of his baits while deer hunting

Will be hunting with Continental Divide,book the hunt thru one of the large booking agency.Going to be hunting around Salmon,Id.Sounds like I'll be there the same week you are.

have to let me know how you do there. really like my outfitter, but can never rule out change. guys I use are at $2700 for everything. and that includes 2 bears. food is great. Gary knows his stuff. saw a lot of color phase last year. see the same this year, and going to have a full mount done and a rug. really want to see that cinnamon I saw last year. orange in the sunlight. if you looked at the video I posted, those are her cubs at the bait sight.

Talked to the outfitter and said the bear started hitting the baits after the snow this week. Hope they keep it up next week!
