Something that bugs the crap out of me is trespassers. I have private land that other people have permission to hunt. I dont mind that but the people that just come in at will with no permission. Lets just say it irritates me especially in archery. Im sure many of you are with me on this one.

Nowadays is QDM.
What good is QDM really if your ONLY intention is to have larger racked deer? Doesn't anyone consider the overall health of the herd?? They should call it QDR. Quality Deer Racks. |

I think people get QDM and TDM confused. TDM being Trophy Deer Management. QDM promotes health herds--balance, food sources, bedding sources and water sources.

Well around here they all call it QDM and it's not about any of that. It's about growing trophy bucks.

It pertains to hunting but not while hunting but I get tired of hunters bashing other hunters. If whatever you are practicing is legal by your state's standards then have at it. We need to stop bashing each other and stick together. While hunting though I can not stand someone just tromping through the woods not trying to be quiet. Drives me nutts!!!

Dogs.
One farm I hunt in Ohio the farmer lets all his mongerals run. It's a very common thing to see them in the woods chasing deer. They ran the turkey out last year. It used to be full of birds for years. Not now. He has a Great Pierinesse(sp) that knows when I show up it's time for her to hit the woods. She barks relentlesly with no exaguration an hour non-stop is nothing. I've asked him if I could put her in one of the barns so she doesn't follow me. His reply, "just the nature of the beast". Immediately I knew I was beating my head against the wall. I've detoured to my stand area in hopes of avoiding her and she still roams for hours, barking. Talk about aggrevating. He's a good friend whom I respect and appreciate allowing me to be the only one to hunt his property. Needless to say, it's definately worth some of the aggrevation as two of the last three bucks have netted over 130 and this years buck grossed non-typical 143. My patience runs thin at times though.

I've been looking at this thread but could never really think of anything that aggravated me enough to be a pet peeve.....well, Tradtech just hit it on the head. DOGS !! I see dogs running deer almost every time I am out
I love my dogs, but gosh darn it, the owners should be a bit more responsible.
