Default Need your help!!

I have an upcoming assignment where I need to cover summer archery family activities. Anyone want to help with ideas?
What are some of the summer fun things you do that involve archery?
Archery-golf?
3Dshoots?
Do you and your family (kids) pariticpate in anything special that builds their archery skills during the summer months?
You can send me a PM if you wish.
Thanks for any help you can give.

http://www.deerassic.com/ This seems to have the family in mind for a summer event. And it's fairly close to many States in the Midwest and the Eastern States.

Bow Drawn,
Thanks for adding your input here. I appreicate it. However, I am more looking for "topics" to write about, rather than specific "events"
What are some of the "backyard" activities archer's do during the summer months etc. etc. Hope that helps. Thanks again, I hear Deerassic is awesome!

In the summer I like to hunt groundhogs and pigeons to stay on top of my game. Plus its good to eliminate both of them on the farm.

Lisa, I did something similar a few years back and one of the things I did was create a few small teams of kids. I then went into the woods and made a "Mock" blood trail using synthetic blood (I have a few packets left if you want one) at the end of the trail I used an old tanned hide to simulate the found deer. A deer photo or target can be used also. Then the Teams were sent out with an adult supervisor and shown what to look for and what the different blood patterns meant. I had prizes for the teams at the end. I didn't time the teams cause I didn't want to teach them to rush the trailing process. They all had a ball and learned at the same time!!! Wi-Doe-Maker

Wow Thanks for the idea. I think I can use that. I know that when I have taught a NBEF class in the past we have done something similiar to that. You can mix up stuff to look like blood and teach kids and adults the art of blood trailing. I will keep you posted on this assignment. If any other great ideas "pop" into your head, let me know.
I am off to hunt turkeys now
