I'm looking to purchase a trail camera in the near future and was wondering what brand would be a good buy for the dollar. I have been looking at the Cuddeback, Stealth, Leaf River, and etc. I would appreciated any information on any trail cameras that you may be using and feel free to list your likes or dislikes. Thanks again.

I have found with them you realy get what you pay. I have a wild view, Hate it! It always seems to go off to late and miss the deer.

I've got five Moulties and like them alot, got them all rigged up with solar panels and rechargable batteries, will last a month and a half in the summer without replacing the battery on them. The new Moulties have a real fast trigger speed compared to the older one like I have.
If you have the older ones try facing them up and down the trails or putting them out over looking baiting areas where the deer are going to be for some time. Matt |

I have Wildviews they work well if you mess with them enough to know how they work best but it is alot of trial and error before you get it right. I would say with the reviews and every thing I have heard Moultrie D40 is were it is.

Missed this one. I use a Moultrie IR40. IT IS AWESOME! They have a 6.0mp version but I don't need that kind of clarity (or price tag) just to see if it's a deer, hog, racoon, or squirrel! The 4.0 takes great pics. I got it on sale for 200.00 and in came with a 2.0 SD card. It holds a gazillion pictures! It takes pics in the dark out to 50 yards with the IR (no flash).

We have played with a lot of different ones and the Moultrie IR is definitely the best we have had. There will be one or two more of those added this year
