Yeah there is just something about hunting with the bow that makes me like it more than rifle.

x2. I rifle hunt less and less each year, i see eventually giving it up within the next few years.

If it flies it dies though with my SBE 2.

I prefer bow hunting to any other hunting. If I can hunt it with my bow Iím happy. My 2nd choice would be shotgun for birds. I have rifle hunted before but for me itís not the same thrill for me, it just lacks that up close and personal touch of bow hunting.

I guess I'm going against the grain here, but I prefer still-hunting for big game with an autoloading rifle barreled in .30 calibre or better.

I hunt in the thick stuff here in Ontario where shots are often lost to unseen intervening brush - a still hunter doesn't have the luxury of groomed shooting lanes. And contrary to the popular myth, I find I shoot an auto much more accurately and efficiently (on game) than I do a boring old bolt gun.

Shooting with the bow keeps me going when in between seasons. It is very relaxing and helps me refocus especially at the end of a long day.

BOWHUNTING!!!! I bust out the shotgun for turkey but it's all about the bow when it comes to whitetail.
