I thought I heard it was going to peak around 10:25. I kept checking but it never got beyond a brownish color (it was bright white earlier on in the night). I was looking for it to go completely black aside from the halo. Did I miss it or what?

Our total eclipse was right at 9 central time I started looking at around 8:45 and could gradualy see the shadow covering the moon. By the time I started looking it was 3/4 covered!
