I use a lineman's belt from the telephone company for now. This year I will be getting a Hunters Safety vest.

Yes, always. And always have. This year I’m looking into a new one. I like to replace them every so many years or if they look like they have any wear.

Every time I am in a lock on I do. But I would have to jump out of my API climber to fall out of it.

I've only hunted three times from a treestand without a harness. I will not do it again. Never had an accident - knock on wood.

Absolutely, positively, ALWAYS.
You're a fool if you don't. Youngbuck, it isn't about paying attention and staying awake. I was bear hunting in Ontario this fall and the weather sucked, rain and wind. I was in my Summit climber and stood up to stretch just as a big gust of wind hit. It threw me off balance and if it weren't for the SOP harness I had on, I was going to the ground. It caught me and swung me towards the tree and the only reason I didn't flip over the rail of the stand was because I was able to get a hold of the rope that connects me to the tree. I was wide awake and paying attention, it's just one of those things that happens. Brian, when you hunt with Scott in the "Skyscraper" at Joe's, do you wear a parachute? I think I'm bringing one next time. I kept getting crazy looks from the people in the 747s that were leaving O'hare as they passed by...
