My biggest was 230 field dressed. A buddy of mine shot one this year that was 250 field dressed. The last four bucks I have shot have been over 200 field dressed.

I've seen a lot of mule deer where we hunt in Montana over the years that would go 300 easy, maybe as much as 350 on a few.
Nov 06 I saw a Whitetail that would've gone as much as 250+ with a 36" spread! It was bedded down in the grass 200 yards from the road on a guys place that doesn't let anyone hunt. I'm sure he knew the bruiser was there. My father-in-law, who is now 75 and has taken hundreds of deer over the years in Ohio, Penn, and Montana, said it was the largest whitetail he'd ever seen, and that "If I was to ever poach a deer it'd be that one!" I had to agree. I contemplated it for several moments but in the end jail time didn't sound like anything I wanted to entertain when you consider the gravity of that crime. We watched it for about 10 minutes - left my camera in the motel. It was still just bedded down looking straight at us when we drove on to our hunting site.

Would be the deer I got this year 160lbs field dressed. They don't get that big in NY.

Just some info.....
November of 1926, Carl Leander Jr. harvested a monstrous Minnesota buck. Field-dressed, the deer weighed 402 pounds. The state Conservation Department calculated its live weight to be 511 pounds. No heavier whitetail deer has ever been recorded.

Could be the location your at. Both my bowkills, this year was 213lbs field dressed and the other from a few years ago was 207lbs dressed out. But this southern tier zone, they will pack on the lbs. Heck we shot doe in the 160 pound range.
