thanks for the nice comments everyone!
I love hunting with Emily. I did not even take a gun on this hunt. On other hunts if she is not there and I see a good deer or hog, I will not shoot, and I will wait till she can go to try to get the animal. Those with kids know what I am talking about, its more fun to watch her than it is for me to do the shooting. on this hunt I kept asking her is she was steady and finally she asked me why I was asking and I had to reply "because I am shaking holding the video camera!!" she started going with me at 4 duck hunting, she was carrying her own 20 guage into the marsh at 6, on her first deer hunt, she shot 2 hogs and 1 doe within 20 minutes of each other(I have that one on tape too!!) I couldnt imagine hunting without Emily by my side, it is getting harder to get together tho as she gets older and busier with her friends and just being a teenager.
I would rank her shotgun and rifle shooting skills equal to anyone I have ever hunted with. She is also a great shot with a bow, we are trying to get our schedules together for this weekend for a bow hog hunt! |
