When you film hunts does anyone try to film it themselves without a cameraman?

I also have filmed a bear hunt myself, and it worked ok. It's easier because of the bait, but not fool proof. Other types of hunt are very difficult to film on your own and get quality result. I don't mind filming someone else its just as exiting to me!

I have filmed myself on two different bear hunts and would not be afraid to do it again.....as long as the footage was strictly for my viewing pleasure.

I started bringing a camera with me this year. Sometimes it was too much of a pain or it was just to hard to get into the location to setup so I opted to leave the camera behind. I have an ok mount for my simple camera, although it is not a broadcast quality camera the footage would be ok for my usage.

I have tried to film a few hunts & did not have too much luck. Too much gear to pack & the light has got to be right. I will leave it up to the pro's & buy there videos.
