Got another doe this morning.

My friend Deb (Lady Forge) and I were in different areas of the public land that we hunt but we both shot deer at 7:20 am.

Too bad Lady Forge didn't sign up this year.

Yeah, her deer grew buttons and 'boy parts' after she shot it. She was unhappy that it wasn't actually a doe. It had some big buttons. I teased her that it would have been a monster buck.

Default My 2010 Archery Buck
It was cold this morning and I didn't go to the stand until 9:30. I got in the stand and grunted and rattled then grabbed my book to read. I glanced up and this buck stepped out of the brush 20 yards straight in front of me. I barely had time to grab my bow(praying he wouldn't see me moving!)attach my release, draw and shoot. I had no idea how many points all I knew was he was really wide and had some mass. He was a scrapper! 3 tines broken off and his ear was torn in half. Huge neck and body...what a stud! He should have been a 10 but he had 8 scoreable points. From the time I saw him until I shot was maybe 10 seconds.

Yea! Keep up the good work! Rifle season starts in MO Saturday and I can hardly wait to fire my 260!
