Default Draw weight

This ones for Vicki. My best friend bow hunts with me (my wife) and after last year we decided to switch from right hand to left hand. Reason being she is left eye dominat. For years she had been shooting right hand and she would just close her left eye. Until last year when she finally had a her first chance at taken her first animal with her bow and she got all flustered and forgot which eye to close. HEHEHE. So she has been working on her muscles pulling left handed. We were wondering what poundage are you pulling on your setup?

I'm sure Vicki will chime in when she sees this but I think she pulls around 53#'s

And I'm sure that's taken years of pulling a bow back for her to get to shooting at that weight. Vickie I hope will say what she started out at and what would be good weight to hunt at.

She is currently shooting a Darton Pro 1100 at 41lbs with arrow weight of 333 grs at 26.25in arrow. With this setup she is producing 43 ft lbs of Kinetic energy. I believe this would be enough for whitetail but her wish would to go after Caribou someday.

Here's a thought. Raise the weight of the arrow by 100 grains or more and her kenetic energy and momentum will go up. And she should be able to take a caribou.
