WHO IS FREAKING READY FOR SEASON!?!?!? I am so stinking ready I am going nuts!!! It's a good thing I pulled out the hunitng equipment the other day. I discovered, something that I knew but had forgotten, that I had lost my quiver insert in the woods, which contained my Hellrazors! DANG DANG DOUBLE DANG! Now I gotta go get more! Ugh. I think Buddy Bill and I will hit one of his woods and use a bonus tag or two. With luck, a big boy will come through and I'll whack him!! I'll make Bill run the camera opening day, LOL!!!!

Well I'm with you on being ready. Our season starts the end of Sept and usually it's too warm but I might go sit in a tree anyway.

That's my girl -- I usually see something neat while hanging from a tree. Last year during my first day hunt I saw a huge coyote that ran past my stand and later couple of small bucks put the sneak on me from behind. They didn't spook once I noticed them and they noticed me. No shot though darn it.

I'm ready but...I guess I'm being impatient, been seeing rubs on trees that aren't there yet, itching to hang stands but the trail cam hasn't shown anything worth hanging a stand...I did put one stand up on a really nice trail that I hunt yearly and I'll have my 2 climbers close so I can be mobile , but I need to see at least some sign before i can go any further and God forbid if we get lots of water, I'm already past my knees in one area, i need to locate some drier ground thats worth hunting...the deer counts went well, so I know where I saw the bucks but the camera isn't showing them...hohum...another week or so and things will be looking up

Waiting on the first week of Oct. for deer. As of the first of Sept., we can sneak around after squills during the morning and throw shot all over the place after doves during the afternoon.

Our squirrel opens tomorrow, so I'll drag the kids out for that.
![]() Dove starts sept, 1 here, too. I can't wait to sling lead! Hopefully, I'll hit something this year!! LOL! "Dang it, Monie! I told you not to use your crooked eye!'
