My Dream Season

There are a couple of hunts I've always wanted to do. This year, things are falling in place for this retired old fart to actually do them. With limited funds and my only occupation as a part time instructor for the military my dream season has always been just that - A DREAM.

My schedule right now looks like:
August - Instructing in Pennsylvania
Early September - Instructing in Texas
Late September - Elk hunting w/military buddy in Idaho
Early October - Black Bear hunting in Minnesota
Early November - Instructing in Texas
Mid November - White Tail hunting in Iowa w/fall turkey tag too!

I am hyped and ready for this one to come true. Bow is all sighted in and the truck is full of gas. Can we just skip straight through to late September?

Well have fun! That is a ways up the road from where I grew up, but I have been by there. I'm closer to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.

Well, my dream season is going down the tubes real quick! The guy who was going to take me elk hunting got alerted he is going overseas for a year tour. The military has tasked me that I have to teach during the first week of the rut here and the bear hunt is now questionable.

Sometimes those best laid plans fall apart. Maybe something else will come up that will be a good substitute.
