The other site I was talking about has moderators who actually edit someone's post for "excessive quotes", "unnecessary explanation", "challenging moderator - deleted". The last one was the one I got, for trying to answer a question. The moderator felt I was challengng him and deleted my post and gave me a "warning". The self importance of those people about knock you over.

I help moderate another hunting site and our basic rule to everyone is to keep it "G" rated. We have our idiots who try to push the envelope, but for the most part, everyone there keeps it civil.

lol, TLC. For those who don't know. There are "Warnings" which are given out by moderators, and I'm not talking about a slap on the wrist via pm. When a warning is issued it is on that person's profile. After so many "warnings", the person is banned from the site.

Warnings posted on a profile is crass! If a moderator wants to warn someone in private, that's one thing, but to post it for all to see is a complete abuse of power. I got into it w/a moderator on a site because he was so full of himself and would contradict everything I posted. After a few times of this, it was beyond being sufferable. I took it to PM's when he accused me of calling him a name. After some banter back and forth he told me if he received one more PM from me, he was going to ban me.

I had copied all the PM's both ways and sent it to the website owner. I don't know if I've been banned, but don't care because I was guided here by......I do believe it was Monie! Now the rest of you all know who to blame for me being here!!!!
