There are about 20,000 - 30,000 right now, which is typical coming out of winter. They'll build up to around 50,000 - 60,000 over the summer.

Actually this is a very cool post Monie. How the heck do the bees know to come back to the hive? Especially if I am keeping the queen busy??

Here's something that'll make you laugh. I was working the hives today and was bent over most of the time. Well, my bee jacket rode up and my pants rode down. I went to pull up my pants and WHAM! I got nailed on the hind end. I was jumping, yeowling, scratching and laughing. I'm sure I put on a good show for the neighbors! LOL!!
