If not, let me start one. I've lost 45 pounds since mid-October of 2009!
My wife and I started a program written by our pastor, called "30 Days to a New You" on December 7th, and today marks the third time we completed the series. I forgot to weigh myself when we started, so I'm counting from my last doctor's checkup before we started.

Hunting and being over weight has to be tough.
Now I don't know about you all but how many of you folks smoke? Yeah yeah cigarette! I don't and never have but when I go to these shows I see a bunch of hunters outside smoking. I'm sorry, hunting and smoking to me just don't compute. I have some friends I hunt with and they smoke and stink bad from it and spraying down just does not cut it. I would say let's get a smoke out started for those who want to quit on here.

I struggle with the weight myself. I have to agree with the smoking...
I know a few who do but almost quit during the season... I know they aren't getting near me with a cigarette during season!!!

I've been losing and gaining like a yo-yo most of my adult life, but this plan my pastor wrote is working. And it's a lifestyle change, not a "diet". If I think of it as a diet, there's a chance I will go off it one day, and I'll start back up (like every diet I've ever been on).
But we follow these 7 action steps every day, and so far it's working: 1. I will pray today and ask God for the strength to change. 2. I will eat 5-6 small, balanced meals today. 3. I will keep my total calorie count today to 10 times my goal weight. 4. I will drink 48-64 ounces of water today. 5. I will do a strength training or aerobic exercise today. 6. I will eat breakfast today. 7. I will get plenty of sleep tonight. (I still struggle with #7, but I'm working on it.)

And I was a smoker in college, but (praise God!) my ex-wife helped me quit back before we got married.

I've been hitting the gym doing cardio exercises and I've noticed a difference already. So far, I've been doing 2 miles on a stationary bike in about 8 minutes, 14 minutes on the treadmill at 4.5, then 3 minutes at 5.0 followed by a 5 minute cool down, then 2 more miles on the bike. One right after the other with no break.

My total weight loss is now at 53 pounds, and my A1C (a blood test that measures an average blood sugar over the past 3 months) is 5.3! That's in the normal range for a NON-diabetic!
I can only give praise to God for giving me the strength to make the necessary changes to my lifestyle.
