Arrow?

What grain arrow do you shoot? Does it vary between hunting and 3D?

I try to shoot a heavier arrow for hunting. 3D I go as light as I can, to gain speed, without sacraficing spine.

mine is right around 515 for a hunting setup, however I like to shoot the same setup all year round. Better to practice w/ your hunting setup, I may not shoot 300's but I'm confident with my setup come fall!

Yeah...I hear ya. I tend to switch, though just because I use different shafts. Call me weird.

I dont switch shafts it's to much work. I just switch bows. Hunting bow has heavier arrows, super quiet, and forgiving to shoot. 3-d bow lighter arrows try to get 285 out of bow, set up for pin point accuracy, bow has more weight than hunting bow. But both bows have the same goal- the 1st shot must count. 3-d just has 30 1st shots before you can go home.

I shoot Easton FatBoy for 3D for the speed and line cutting, then make an easy switch to 2312's for hunting. Loss of about 15 FPS but gain about 60 grains of overall arrow weight for added momentum and KE. They are the same diameter so actual bow set up changes little. I swap out my site and I am good to go.
