crappy start to the day

I was on my way to work this morning and got 3 miles from the house and saw a cow moose lying just off the road on the edge of the field.I stoped and got out to look and she was still alive(could only move her head) but looks like she was hit by a semi and she was in really rough shape and the birds were picking at her.So I went back and got the rifle and put her down.

That sucks. The deer are really taking it hard around here lately, I had the brakes locked up twice last night. Good of you to finisher her off, alot of people would just drive on.

Do you get to claim the meat? A lot of deer that get hit around here, are thrown in a dump or just left laying there. Pisses me off because of the waste.
