Default Topos
ok Im thinking about striking out on my own next year and hunting some public land. Maybe headed to Shawnee forest. Any advice on how to get started. Where can I get detailed maps to start looking for spots. Any advice on what to look for.

Google earth is a good starting point. It'll help narrow down the quadrangle that you want to have printed for your hunt.

In addition to mytopo you can also try:

www.terraserver-usa.com

Also, check with the area's BLM.
