I wish the number of points you got was determined by the size of the animal! hahaha



I shot her in NW Colorado on 10/11/2009 with one shot from my Tikka .30-06 at 325 yards (exit hole is visible, she was slightly quartering away). She spun, took 3 strides and piled up! Estimated live weight is around 500 lbs based on some formulas I found online given the 175 lbs of boneless meat I ended up with!

All in all we went 5 / 6 and the 6th guy should've got one. This was a DIY rifle hunt on foot and we all had OTC cow tags.

5 days of hard hunting in which I walked almost 30 mountain miles and I carried out somewhere between 200-250 lbs of meat. I only made 1 trip to camp at night with an empty pack frame and that was the last night!

Can't wait until next year!
