im not moving for the hunting, but the possibility of moving to the States is very real. so one of the criteria for my new job has to include lots of public access to good hunting. the thought of never ending increasing payments for leasing rights just doesnt sit well...i guess we get kinda spoiled up here in Canada with the huge amounts of crown land.

I think about it alot, but I think in terms of where to retire to. I think every area has it's own +'s and -'s, it just depends on what you WANT to hunt most. I can't complain too much about living here in IL, but I've never been to NM and I think I would very much like to go check that out

HC, you ever been to NM?? I've been through it. GORGEOUS place!! The way they depict NM sunsets and sunrises in paintings...it's ALL TRUE! Man are they absolutely beautiful!

I know Monie, my list of things to do is soooo big. This year it's all hunting, next year hunting, another trip to England and one of those adventure tours in Mexico. I think I just need to win the lottery so I have enough TIME!!! NM is, so far, my top place to retire to, even though I haven't been there yet
