I've taken this Plano case on many trips and it works great!!! It was designed so you could pack extra stuff in it which works great since the airlines are really limiting us on weight and number of bags.
There is a weight restriction on each bag....might as well fill the bow case up!!! I usually pack towels and extra clothes in this case to help protect the bow. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...set=ISO-8859-1

I was thinking of a double so that I could put even more clothing into it and I could also put my wifes bow in when we go deer hunting. I will take a better look at the case you suggested, i just thought they might be too flimsy.

I've got a Flambue (sp) that I store my bow in. Has the latches that you can put locks thru and is plenty durable. A little big though.

I use a soft case for local travel...
But if its a long trip I have a Vanguard Guardforce Double hard bowcase.. That thing is tough and I can take my backup bow with me...

I bought a case to fly with several years back and it has worked out great.
http://www.skbcases.com/sports/produ.../contents.html SKB cases a tough like a rock. Mine has held up to all sorts of travel conditions and I know several other guys who have them and they have not complained once about theirs. I store my bows in a case at home to protect them. I have a hard plastic type like these at Bass Pro. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...003000_450-3-2 . |
