Hey there Ralph. I was just wondering if there is a specific reason why you don't enjoy turkey hunting? Or if anyone else out there know's I'd love to hear it..

Bucknut...Hey buddy, I don't hate turkey hunting I love ALL hunting and we just have a lot of fun with it and want everyone to go out and have a great time hunting whatever. Turkeys are just funny critters to watch and I am always amazed at how we turned an almost vulture looking bird into a massive industry, you have to admit when you look at there heads they are UGLY! But look at me too so I guess we have a lot in common!

They certainly aren't the cutest birds in the world that's for sure!! Maybe that's why my 14 yr old daughter will hunt them , but I can't get her to wrap her mind around deer hunting for the life of me!! Thanks for the answer though! Keri

Must be why their feathers are so pretty and irridescent---takes your eyes off that ugly head!!!!!

I'll agree that a turkey's head ain't very pretty, until it starts changing colors while it comes in.
What gets me is the gobbling, strutting and tamping/drumming. I couldn't care less about killing one, some years. Just have 'em come inside of 50-60 yds where I can watch them put on a show for me and I've had a successful hunt!

My favorite part about hunting turkeys is the first gobbles right at day break. You might not be able to see them yet but I love that sound echoing through the woods

I love hunting those ugly birds!! Their heads ain't the best looking, but I always like watching it change color, that's too cool! LESS THAN 2 MONTHS TILL SEASON OPENS!!

They can be tricky and about the time you're sure they're gonna come your way, they take off! It's all part of the excitement though! Have fun!!
