Jumbo perch

I've gone to this lake four times trying to catch some of these perch, with no luck. Then yesterday my buddy calls me and says lets go catch some of them perch, so away we went. I ended up catching three jumbos, my buddy caught 1 jumbo and 1 nice walleye and his brother caught 1 jumbo. That made up for a frustrating year of ice fishing.

That sure does make me want to go do some fishing. Not that we have perch here, but I do love to fish.

Actually i'm not going to eat them, a local kid is going to taxidermy school and needs some fish to mount, so all of them are going to be mounted.

I caught three more on Saturday along with three northern and about 20 walleyes, most of them were small, so only kept three. Went back to the same spot on Sunday and only caught a few small walleye. Thats the nature of that lake, she'll treat you good one day then beat you into the ground the next day. Oh well i'll try again later to see if I can get some more.
