It's probably a replica. lol Wouldn't that totally tick you off to pay $4,500 just to get a replica? I'd be knocking on that guys door with a couple of really really big men next to me. lol

A friend of mine found a set of sheds that with a 18" spread scored 198" (I think) He had a taxidermy buddy of ours make a mold to do repros of them, hopefull of selling repro's (wishfull thinking they were great sheds but nothing spectacular) The taxidermist had another shop calling looking for big sheds and was willing to pay $2000 for them but my buddy said "no, I want $3000 for them" My thought was have our buddy the taxidermist make a set of repro's for yourself, sell the real deal and be $1700 ahead of the game if you think about it -- that's like walking through the woods and finding a bag with your name on it that has $1700 inside of it. Now he has a really expensive set of paper weights!

sheds can be big money...there is a guy here in sask that hunts excessively. i got a couple of rattling sets off him, really nice guy. he had a set that he was in the process of negotiating for a dodge muscle car. if memory serves correct it was a 70 cuda...huge money!
