Default My new smokepole

Well finely broke down and bought an New smokepole for the upcoming hunting season next week. Just couldn't turn down the T/C Encore Endeavor went to the local BPS and pick it up on Sunday. Black/Stainless, 50 cal.
http://www.tcarms.com/firearms/encoreEndeavor.php

Took it up to my dad's farm to try it out yesterday. I'm shooting an 100 grs. of triple seven pelleted powder along with an 240 gr. XTP Hornery sabot slug. Took the first shot resting across the fence post from 75 yards, and hit 5" to the left but good up and down, Loaded again and hit just outside of the orange circle. Cleaned it up and try two more shots and one was inside of the cicle the other was just outside of it. Backed out to 130 yards with the same load, and it was still shooting right on just about 2" low now. I can live that for right now. But going to put an scope on it later, most likely right after the two week shotgun season but before the actual muzzleloader season arrives. The local BPS was out of stock of the scope that I was going to top it off with. Bushnell Banner Shotgun/Muzzleloader dusk-dawn 2x-7x*32mm.

If anyone has been thinking of buying an new muzzleloader or getting into the sport of black powder hunting I'd surely recommend this gun as it sure is and great shooter. Can't wait to see what kind of groups it is shooting once I put the scope on it. Sure is easy to clean compared to other black powdered guns that I have used in the past.

I shoot a CVA, but TC sure makes a good quality gun. That's the brand my dad has been shooting for quite a few years. Have fun breaking it in this season!

A buddy of mine couldn't afford a TC so he bought the CVA and he loves it.I want to get a muzzle loader for next year.

I've been looking at the Triumph and I think $400 for black and blue? Wow that's a lot of money.....but it was nothing to plunk down $650 for my bow! I'm a nerd.

Well got to break it in on Monday morning on an tender eating spike horn for the meat pole.

Not sure of what happen but after the first three loads he was still standing and offered the forth and final shot that I needed. I know the gun was shooting ok so it had to be the shooter that had the trouble doing his job.

Not very many deer in the area right now and evryone that you talk to is complaining about the number of coyotes in the area. Seen one tonight while watching for some deer but he never came closest enough for an shot.

Yeah, couldn't beleive that myself. He'd watched as I loaded each shot. He'd only jump and walk off 20 yards before turning and walking back to the same spot each time.

Dude! You were doing the deer around there a favor by clearing out the gene pool. If it stood for 4 shots it musta been pretarder or something.
