first bow recovery

well, i shot my first bow deer that i was able to find yesterday. it dropped right were i shot it! its only a doe but im very happy. my skill has obviously improved since 2 years ago.

Must be nice to have your season open in September, some of notrthern Ontario is open as early as Sept 1. There has been talk of the MNR here extending the bow season into Janurary of the following year. Don't agree with it as the deer are heavy in the winter yards and it is just an massacure as it is nothing to see over 30 deer in a single stand sitting if you can brave the weather even in the end of December.

Would like to see them add some time in September so that we to could have an chance at an velvet buck.

Only a doe? You shouldn't make excuses and you should be very proud! ANY bow kill is exceptional! Besides...you can't eat antlers!!!!

Last year was the first buck I ever took with a bow....

I can still remember every doe I ever got!!!!

I hunted with a bow for 5 years before I took my first archery deer!!!!
