Exclamation Buck Down!!!
Well all of this hunting has paid off! I have been chasing these 3 bucks since the beginning of Sept. I had them at 40yrds and never got a shot, and then I missed one, then I had them at 50yrds and no shot, but hey that's the way it goes. Well this morning which yes I almost didn't go, but boy am I glad I did!!! I got to the ranch and made my way up the ridge as I always did and sat up on a little cut that the bucks had been moving through as they made there way to there bedding area. these bucks had been moving through the cut at about 7:30am and it was almost 8:00am and I had not seen one sign of a deer, so I figured that the bucks did what bucks like to do and had changed things up on me. Knowing that this would be one of the last days that I could hunt, I decided to go and try to make something happen, so I started to work my way up the ridge toward the water tank and what would you know there were my bucks! the very same 3 bucks that I had been seeing almost everyday! and they were working there way toward me! the first buck was one of the big guys and he was 45yrds! I had no real way to draw without him seeing me (when he first come out he was quartering toward me) so when he was broadside I drew and let it fly!! this buck smoked it hard for about 50yrds and that was it!!! I'm hunting this ranch next year!!!

I'm having dreams of big bucks everyday now, just can't wait for the opener on Oct 1. I'll have to be in the stand or I'll be ripping my hair out.
