I feared this day from the time you were a pup...
You would retrieve my ducks and swim them down to "grandpa's" blind....you would wait until the crappies were bitin' good before jumping into the brush pile....you waited until I bought a new pair of shoes before you would eat one (and you always picked out the most expensive pair).... ...ahhhhhhh, I wouldn't have it any other way. The house is sure quiet today without you here..... Thanks for being my "bud".......you never stopped being a puppy ![]()

Dang buddy, you told me yesterday that it had happened and it still sucked reading that.
He was a good dog and I really enjoyed his company last year when I was out there hunting with you. He made me think of my own lab at home. I'll give Sy an extra hug tonight after reading this. Hope you, Coop, and and Lisa are getting through this ok.

So sorry to hear this.
Been there done that, man. My wife and myself lost our little buddy in the spring. Dang, but the house was quiet. If I drop something while cooking, I still expect to have to fight him for. The pain will weaken, but it won't go away entirely. It's not supposed to. It's called love and it'll always be the burden of those left behind. They'll be waiting on for us all on the other side.

Sorry for your lose, I feel your pain. My golden passed 07/19/2000 and I still miss him today. I have not been able to replace him, I know it would hurt too bad to go through it again. But I am so glad he passed my way, if only for a short time.

Sorry for your loss. I had to put my boxer down a couple of years ago and know the feeling.
