How many traditional guys and gals do we have here? I hunt with a compound but I have shot a recurve for a few years and I am finaly to the point where im confident enough to hunt with it. Going to try to kill a doe on public land this year with her.

Got me hear in Mi. Do to a shoulder injury I just started shooting a compound still no sights and still with fingers. But have hunted with recurves and longbows for many years with great success

I like to hunt with the recurve, this is my first year with the compound in 7 years
I also take some of the tradition of days past and shoot with fingers. Use a sight but do not use a peep. If anything goes wrong with my crutch I can still pick up the sweetheart and she shoots like a dream.

Nice, nice work Greywolf!! I shoot 2 Striker longbows in addition to my compounds. I have a takedown and a one piece and I love them both. It takes a lot of time and dedication though to be consistant with trad equipment.

i shoot a takedown recurve and english long bow addition to my compound i should be hunting with my recurve next year. i just don't have the confidence with it just yet.

I shoot a stik all the time, usually a Bob Sarrels hybrid longbow.
