Yeah misses are all part of the fun, and you know, the misses and all of the "almosts" were just as exciting as when I made the shot on this guy.

I can't believe I missed this post. I've been soooooo busy! Congratulations on a heck of a nice bull. I've been hunting them with a rifle for the past 10 years. Someone in the family always gets one...just not me. I'm always a dragger. It's like dragging a claw-hammer through the snow! We also use a chainsaw winch. We hunt public land so vehicles of any kind are not an option. Each person gets a quarter, one gets the head/antlers, and one gets the hide and off we drag (or winch). If we get one down in the later afternoon we don't get home until 1,2, or 3AM.
