I got back last weekend from Maine's opening week of bear season.
This years berry crop is insane. Our camp went three for eight, with one guy missing with a rifle and my 12yr old son not being able to get a shot, since his bear didn't stick around too long. All in all a good week. I have come home empty handed the last two years because I was too picky. This year I didn't get a shot til thursday night and it took me almost 20 minutes to catch my breath after the shot, before I could even tell the story. The adrenaline was through the roof! Love hunt'n them bears. Hopefully next year my son gets a shot.
