Default Little help

I'm trying to adjust my Vaportrail rest because I'm having fletching clearance problems.

Now I have fletching clearance problems and my arrows look like a corkscrew going through the air.

HELP!!!

Is the fletch not clearing the rest or the shelf?

The shelf. I put some moleskin on the shelf to stop noise if the arrow comes off of the rest at strange angles and I just started noticing a spot on the moleskin that is worn where the fletching is hitting it.

Sorry D.

I just put a fallaway on my bow Saturday, and I haven't had time to screw up the settings yet. I'll be reading this for suggestions when I do tho!

I've used drop away rests for years.

This one (Vapor Trail Limb Driver) is a little different.

http://www.vaportrailarchery.com/limbDriver.asp

I think over time the spring (which raised the rest) has lost its sprung and isn't raising the arrow high enough.

I tried adjusting it and....well you heard the rest already...

Then, you'll need to raise the rest a little. Just so your fletch clears.

Nock an arrow, raise the rest with a finger and eyeball it. This will likely mess up your arrow flight(more) . No worries, though. Just move your loop up a little to get the nock set right. If you don't have a square, again, you can eyeball it. It's not as precise, but you sound like the kind of guy that can handle it.

As far as the corkscrew goes, it sounds like the left/right on the rest is off. Try setting it back to where it was and move it a little at a time. If you can paper tune, all the better.

Default Update

Went by my local pro shop for a little emergency visit last night.

More was out of wac than I thought.

The spring tension in the rest needed to be adjusted.

My loop and nocking point had slipped.

We are all square again, and drilling dots at 20 yards.

Now to work my way back to 60 again.

I hate having a good excuse to spend more time shooting in the back yard!!!!
