I've used ground blinds for a few years now but have never shot thru the screens provided. I've been scared of poor arrow flight. Does anyone have an opinion about the screens? Thanks

Well that's not completely true Flint...
You can get the Eastman Archery Silver Strike Expandables. Those suckers wouldn't open on a bet! Wasted $10 on three of them.

Shot thur them this spring while turkey hunting and found out fast that the screen seemed to deflect the arrow up about 4" at 20 yards. Never again!!

For a fair quick kill and to keep doubt out of it I would K.I.S.S. and go fixed only.
I wonder if there are any blind Mfgs. out there that would state in the affirmative that expandable's are OK. Otherwise, I'm sticking to fixed, screen or not. I have and used expandable's, they just don't hold up well when removing them from targets. With fixed baldes I can resharpen and I'm good to go. With the expandables I found their arms bend easily.

Started hunting out of pop-up blinds when my sons started hunting and have taken several big game animals with the screans. I can honestly say I have only shot fixed blade heads thew them but the only time I have had a problem was with a running turkey. As I swong the bow with the bird and released the threds cathered up at one side. At least that why I'm saying I missed that bird at 10 yards! But on any standing targets I have had no problem what so ever and have take deer, hogs, and turkeys from them. With that screans are up every time we bow hunt from the blinds.

I have never shot through one of them, but I would have to think it would either slow the arrow down as well as move it off it's target.
