You may not have called me that but I know you were thinking it. I am even thinking it.

This tree is more than 90% poison ivy....it's like 99.9% poison, you have to look hard just to tell there is a tree under there

I just got done working at it. I got all the major poison sources cut. im not sure if i want to wait until they die or go at it again later. I will need to get more screw in steps though. Cant use climbing sticks the tree isnt straight. I also hope when I get to where I want to go the tree is straight enough for a stand.

All I have to do is poke that stuff and I get it. My best friend during the spring/summer/fall months is IvyBlock, that helps a bunch!

Bull,

Even when dead, poison ivy will get ya. It don't gotta be the leaves, the vines are just as deadly. I've broken out from this stuff in Feb after clearing the road of a blown down tree that was hanging thick with vines. If I take my beagles out, I don't load them back in the truck without gloves and long sleeves. The part that causes the reaction will get on their coats and feet. A buddy of mine spent 7 days in the hospital after his Lab scratched his arm while playing fetch. The dog had been running thru the vines while retrieving the ball.

If ya ain't got an allergy to this stuff, the Good Lord blessed you. I wish I didn't 'cause I hate shots!
