I'd take tails.....see none of us can agree on anything! I usually like the first week, but I've been wrong before. I actually am going to kansas the first week of November this year, I just like to avoid the full moon. Sorry Bull, were at odds again

If you are looking to maybe do some calling........your odds the first week may be better......but i do agree with firediver if you can't make up your mind.

To be honest....I've killed most of my bucks during the last week of October and the first week in November. BUT.....that stat is misleading because I hunt too hard out of the gate and don't spend as much time in the woods during the middle of November.

Well, that is how it used to be. I've been pacing myself a lot better so I am still fresh when the time is right!!!!

Another note about my stat....although I've killed most of my bucks between October 24 thru November 6th......my biggest bow kills have been later in November... (with the exception of last year's deer)

What does all of this mean???? I see more bucks earlier but bigger ones later.

I have to disagree with both bull and Tim... Sorry guys...

I still say weather is the most determining factor...

Nothing beats a good cold front or a break in bad weather to get deer movin!!!!

The coin thing is good too....

The real stat that counts is all of my deer have been shot while I was hunting!!!

So spend as much time as possible hunting!!

I like the very first week as there are still alot of bucks that are cruising looking for does that have had no luck finding one earlier. Week two around here is usally lock down as 98% of the bucks have already found an doe an are staying right besides her. At that point I like to find natual funnels that are close to where the does have been bedding and sit there as long as I can throughout the day.

I just hope I can get a doe the weekend of Nov 15-16. There is a local dropoff point for Georgia Hunters for the Hungry that weekend. All of the other dropoff points this season are too far of a drive with gas prices like they are.

Hopefully I will have harvested at least one deer for myself by then, too.
