New to Bear Hunting

Up around Jackman ME. I heard we might be dealing with alot of black flies. Can't be any wosre than Alaska in July.

I bought the Shannon's bug suite. It worked great.

I used the thermacell around the camp and it worked good as well.

I'm still not sure about the thermacells in the woods. But I'm kinda a scent freak... so don't listen to me.

We've been through 3 boxes of refills with our Thermacells and so far we've had animals walk up on twice before I grunted and scared them out. No scent issues here. Matter of fact the only issue I can think of is when we started it up and the pad had dried up on us. Smoked us up pretty good.
