I've tried both and not sure what I do...

I'm concentrating so hard on the target I might be ignoring my other eye...

I think it is open because I things beside me have distracting me when shooting before...

I've shot with both eyes open for years after starting with one eye open. Once you do get it down you'll find you just see the whole scope of what's going on instead of just seeing a small portion. I shoot fingers with bare bow for carp and a release with sights for deer and it works well for both. Good luck a keep with what works but don't be afraid to jump the cliff and try something new, it may be just what your looking for.
