Word of warning, "He needed killing" is a valid defense in a lot of courts down here. I would love to be on the jury when she says "But I thought he was a big ole hog and couldn't miss the opportunity to kill a trophy." I'm sure her sending you to the taxidermist might be a little difficult to explain but if she gets a jury of women, you might think about being nicer to her ... just a suggestion from one woman hunter.

Yeah... Cheri has been shooting X's lately. I guess I'll wake her up early, which will irritate her a bit. I win...

I don't want anyone dead . . . well, there was a few tense moments last year when my husband shot his great eight point, it was cold, we got lost in the woods and came out three miles (as the crow flies) from the house, and it was MY birthday—that he forgot. Other than that, it's all good!!!

And now that the eight point is on the wall in my house, he is reminded of it everyday—the date is on the bronze plate with his name and the score!! Don't think he is going to forget that date ever again!!!!! hehe! To make it up to me, he is helping pattern a huge deer behind our house that I have seen for the last two years. Well I figure that I haven't missed a birthday... ever.

I've made sure every Christmas her lists are filled plus...

We're not too sure either one of us on the anniversary, so periodically throughout the year I do things for her out of the ordinary... Well that one doesn't count because I do them to get her to think she missed something. That's more a me thing ultimately...

And... this is the big one... July 14th is her birthday, which she will be spending hunting hogs and seeing her grandfather and god parents all in one shot. Plus I am taking her far away from the work place that is sucking the life out of her anyway. I banned her cell phone, and we are taking MY laptop, so she has no access to email, voice mail, anything.

Already this morning her completely incapable/inept boss has called twice to ask inane questions. Unbelievable. Sometimes I tell her, "You gotta start letting people down."

HA!! That sounds like Kelly's boss! He had the stones to call her at home. She left work early that day, because she was sick and puking her guts out! What a loser!!! I don't know HOW he got that job!
