Rules just out my season runs from September 13, 2008 through February 21, 2009. ![]() Very interesting PDF report on a scientific study for best way to control deer, click on link in page for "An evaluation of Deer Management Options" pretty much sums up the best method I can see!! It also looks like NJ is getting around to approving Cross Bows for hunting. Oh, boy! Another toy for boys I needs to start saving up for!

Did you notice that there is no mention of antler restrictions in the regulation sets. I hope they did not get rid of them.

That's awesome!! Indiana is half way there. Here, we can use a crossbow in the late archery season.

In Va., We can use any piece of archery equipment, whether it shoots bolts or arrows. Does are legal all thru archery season, which is fine with me. Now... If they'd get that bill passed for Sunday hunting...!

No Sunday restrictions in NH and you can hunt on ANY land that is not posted. This dates back to the old English laws opening hunting land for the common people.
Although, it is great hunter relations and a good policy to get landowner permission if possible. There is quite a bit of public land that is still available to hunt in the northern part of the state. |

They either have to split shifts or pay for Sunday differential. I think that is more the reason although they use the old smoke and mirrors blaming it on old "Blue Laws" which was a religious restriction from long long ago. It just takes away 1/2 the days off a big percentage of the population has to be out afield IMHO.
