Thanks for all the informative replies. I'm getting 1.5" groups at 10 yards (ruined a couple of fletchings) and will soon move to 20 yards, as well as a trip to the local 3D range for more practice.

I'm on my third box of arrows. Just a tip from good ol' Ricky: Never shoot a baseball. I know... I know... that little devil sits on the shoulder and says "You can do it." Fight the temptation. Suffice it to say... arrow lost. There's a post around here somewhere with the evidence. OH oh oh... and if you have kids pay particular attention to this little tid-bit. Your son or daughter will not appreciate the accuracy of your shots when they see you hit their old stuffed animal in the 10 ring 4 out of 5 times. Just trust me and three-eyed-Mickey Mouse on this one. I have a good therapist that can help your kid(s) through it if you have already experimented in this area. Seriously. If you have tight groups at 10, you shouldn't have too much trouble at 20.

My son got tired of shooting at his targets(deer and Block thingy). Said he wanted something a little more challeging. He'd take a cap off of a bottle of Mtn. Dew or DP and screw it into his target and shoot at it. Groups went down to unbelieveable and the number of ruined shafts was getting expensive. I got him a pack of 1" dot and had him put them at different spots on the target so he'd quit tearing up shafts. Worked out pretty well. 'Course he didn't like it 'cause he liked to show off to Mama by sticking a bunch of arrows in one little area. When I told him he got to pay for the next doz arrows, he went back to shooting multiple dots!
One inch dots are all I shoot at now. Whether it's with my handgun, rifle or bow. I figure if I can hit all around it, at my chose, distances then I'm gonna be able to hit with some sort of regularity.

VA Hunter is absolutely right!!!
Al I shoot at anymore are those stickers you get at the grocery store. I put a bunch of them on the target and only shoot one arrow at each one. Focusing on 1 small dot dramatically increases your accuracy!! Just remember to pick a spot to aim at on an animal and not aim at the whole thing!!!! Preferably the lungs in my opinion. Heart shots are for 3D shooters going for score, not hunters practicing for the season!!!!
