Nope, no bear. Unfortunately we hit it when the boars and sows were breeding plus ended up with some wicked storms rolling through so that slowed things down. But we had a great trip, the folks at the lodge took great care of us and we had tons of fun!

Sounds like my bear hunts from the past. At least you had fun and a safe return! Thats 95% of it right there that makes a trip successful to me.

Sounds like it was a tough year for bears....this doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling for next year!

Gary - you didn't tell them that was another hunter in camp that got some blood! You guys should see Gary & Ralph's arms & neck!! The no-see-ums and black flies took plenty of blood!!
I can't believe you forgot about that!!

Blackflies ugh! You folks are tough! How do you cope with all of them while you are hunting? I'm sure that even with a Thermacell some get through.

Here in NH the blackflies laugh at the Thermacells prior to biting the stuffung out of us.
