I carry a Glock M36 45 ACP, small and fierce. It packs well and is an excellent CCW. I also carry a Kimber CDP Pro II Custom Shop 45 ACP. Kimber makes alot of fine pistols in various size and caliber combinations but they prove to be too pricey for most as I paid $1200 for mine and put an extra $400 in it at Novaks. I also recently purchased the new Ruger LCP 380 pistol. This pistol is basically a glorified Kel-Tec but with Ruger badging. It makes a nice light holster-free pocket pistol for hot summer months, but its only a 380 caliber which is not my ideal choice for personal protection. There are several light small framed revolvers to choose from as well in 357 and 38 Special +P. It all boils down to what you like and what caliber you want. My personal preference is a 45 ACP for my CCW and personal protection weapon. I would go to a good sporting goods store with a wide selection of autos and revolvers and put your hands on them and see which fits you well and what you like. Good Luck and keep us posted
I dont have actual pics of my Ruger, but below is a generic pic. Like I said in above post, its just a glorified Kel-Tec wit Ruger badging.

My Ruger LCP .380

A few 1911's (Kimber and Wilson Combats)

Newest Kimber member

My Wilson Combat 1911

Most pricey 1911 $$$$$

My Kimber CDP Custom Shop with a little extra work done at Wayne Novaks shop (Novaks shop is 5 minutes from my house).

Here is a 1942 W.B. Stamped Colt 1911 that I recently sold to Novak.

And while I am in the mood posting pics, here is my 165" buck from Ohio..lol...

And here is me and my friend Mike Beatty setting up his display at Rocky Boots in Nelsonville, OH several years ago.

Here is my buddy Mike Beatty (far right) and Brad Jerman (far left)

Here is my friend Troy Gentry (not the country singer) with his state record Kentucky Buck taken at Fort Knox

And here is another pic of my 2008 Saskatchewan Bear at Larson Lake Outfitters

Those are some nice pistols Buckfever4life! I know those Wilson Combats and Kimbers don't come cheap.

I've only got one pistol that I recently purchased as my first pistol. A Taurus PT99 9mm. So far I like it!
