I carry a Glock M36 45 ACP, small and fierce. It packs well and is an excellent CCW. I also carry a Kimber CDP Pro II Custom Shop 45 ACP. Kimber makes alot of fine pistols in various size and caliber combinations but they prove to be too pricey for most as I paid $1200 for mine and put an extra $400 in it at Novaks. I also recently purchased the new Ruger LCP 380 pistol. This pistol is basically a glorified Kel-Tec but with Ruger badging. It makes a nice light holster-free pocket pistol for hot summer months, but its only a 380 caliber which is not my ideal choice for personal protection. There are several light small framed revolvers to choose from as well in 357 and 38 Special +P. It all boils down to what you like and what caliber you want. My personal preference is a 45 ACP for my CCW and personal protection weapon. I would go to a good sporting goods store with a wide selection of autos and revolvers and put your hands on them and see which fits you well and what you like. Good Luck and keep us posted

Those are some nice pistols Buckfever4life! I know those Wilson Combats and Kimbers don't come cheap.

I've only got one pistol that I recently purchased as my first pistol. A Taurus PT99 9mm. So far I like it!
