Replacement limbs?

I only know of one guy who replaced the limbs on a bow and that was for a 3D setup.

He replaced the stock limbs on a new Elite bow with Custom 80lbs Barnsdale Limbs.

I have no idea what it cost, but it looked real nice when he was done.

Sweet shooting too.

No custom stuff for me. Heck, I've been trying from right after my original post to even get a price on the stock replacements. 3 different shops said "let me get ya a price and I'll call ya back shortly". I've not heard back from 2 of them, yet. reckon I see who wants my bidness and who don't, huh?

I'm off all next week and hopefully they'll be here around Weds. I'll drop the bow off for the tuneup and should be shooting by the weekend. I got fingers and toes crossed that this is gonna work out! I really Don't want to have my elbow operated on until I get just a little more age on me!

As most all things go, the feller at the ProShop called today, to tell me that my new limbs have FINALLY arrived. Off all last week and no limbs... go back to work and they show up? Ain't that Murphy's Law or something?

Anyhoo....

I'll be dropping my bow off to them later today or tomorrow for the swap over.

YIPEEE! Dropped my bow off on Sat. evening and picked it up Sunday afternoon. I shot on their indoor range and was surprised that it shot almost to the same point of aim. Right now its set at 52 lbs and is pretty easy on my old joints. I'll start cranking it back up after a month or 2 of shooting if no problems arise.

All in all, it seems to be a good deal. I've got a bow that has 2 sets of limbs. If need be, I can go back to shooting up to 75 lbs. Don't see the need any time soon, but its still an option.
