Mine is my Remington 742 in 30-06. It was the first hunting rifle I ever felt "comfortable" with while hunting. It's worn out now, but I keep it around for "old times sake".
Of my current hunting rifles I suppose it's my (circa 1952) Remington 760 carbine in 30-06 - the trouble is I lent it to my brother-in-law for a moose hunt a few years ago, and have a lot of trouble getting to use it when I want to. |

Had...it was a 20 ga. 870 Wingmaster. My dad bought it for me when I was 13. It got fried when the family ranchhouse burnt down.

All the guns that meant alot to me were stolen 5 years ago.
My first guns, ones my grandad passed down, my dads favorite woodsmaster 742 that he finally passed on to me, ALL GONE.I was pretty tore up when it happened, but its in the past now. Ive got what i consider better guns now as replacements, and my grandad gave me his favorite gun of all time 2 years ago. So i got two i guess... My grandads Marlin 783 .22Mag with a walnut stock. A VERY VERY old single barrel shotgun that my grandad has had for over 50 years. He carved a new walnut stock for it himself and passed it on to me for keepsakes. ![]() I guess i kinda sorta love my Benelli SBE II as well.

All my guns are special. The one I like the best is the one I happen to be using at the time I "harvest" my game. Like my childern they are all unique. Special in there own ways. Perfect at what they do. And they do it beter then anybody elses. I look after them and they look after me. Just like my boys.

6 years ago I drew a moose permit here in WY after putting in for 19 years. I was going to hunt with my old Ruger SS Blackhawk in my 45 colt. I had some heavy loads I figured would work fine on moose. Some friends from IL that come out hunting every year decided I needed something special to hunt a moose with. So they all pitched in and got me a Freedom Arms 454 casul to hunt my moose with.
This is not only a favorite gun but a special one to boot.BTW I did kill a bull moose with this pistol that year!
