If my memory serves me correctly......Tower Minnesota hit -80 about 10 years ago. I'm gonna' check the internet for info........

The coldest that it has gotten here in 50 years is -45, most of the time the coldest it gets is -20

The coldest I can remember around here was a cold Feb. day about 8 years ago. I remember it very well because we had a house fire. It was -29!!!! We had to use a school bus to take our ground ladders back to the station because they were frozen in the extended position.

I pulled out an old daily journal I kept in 1996

Jan 31st in Fargo 30 below
Feb 1st Fargo 34 below with 80 below wind chill
Feb 2nd we were fishing at Lake of The Woods, MN. We pulled onto the lake shortly after daybreak and the radio said 58 below up 3 degrees from the overnight low!!!!!

I don't know if you've all seen hot water thrown out of a cup and freeze before it hits the ground, but it did that day!!!!
